Volunteer in Bangalore India - Volunteering Abroad Opportunities

Volunteer Abroad in Bangalore India: is the capital of the Southern state of Karnataka. It is a large, growing cosmopolitan city and home to some of the most high tech industries in India.

Home to some of the well-recognized colleges and research institutions in India, the city has the second-highest literacy rate among the metropolitan cities in the nation.

Bangalore is known as the "Garden City of India" because of its greenery and the presence of many public parks. Bangalore is also a major center of Indian classical music and dance.

Classical music and dance recitals are widely held throughout the year and particularly during the Ramanavami and Ganesha Chaturthi festivals. Bangalore offers a diverse mix of old world and modern delights. You will find sacred cows sitting in traffic besides cars; poor children living on the same streets of the top business in town.

Although parts of the city are financial booming, there is still a large problem from the poverty level. According to the Minister of State for Women and Child Development, almost 40 % of malnourished children under the age of five years across the world are from India.

Many children are denied even their basic rights of food, clothing and shelter.
