Mature Traveler – Volunteering Abroad

Over the last few years, travel trends have shown an increasing number of retired and retiring people have caught the voluntourism bug. Mature volunteers come with a mixture of life experience, skills and patience that younger volunteers simply cannot offer.

Skilled professionals such as doctors, nurses, dentists, teachers, social workers, and handy men and woman are in great demand with our partner organizations, because they can really help ease the hefty workloads in overcrowded and understaffed clinics, schools, orphanages and hospitals.

We offer a range of short term project range from one week to one month, and long term placements lasting up to six months. Volunteer opportunities range from teaching English to school children in Tanzania; supporting an HIV/Aids orphanage in rural Ghana; working in a community health clinic in Honduras, counseling street children in Cusco, providing vocational skills to woman in India, and more.
