1- How was the local ABV Coordinator and the support provided in-country?

Very Good, Everything was organized very well, and the host family experience was very confortable.

2- What was the most surprising thing you experienced?

Meeting the other volunteers was very fun, and I wasn’t expecting that.

3- What was most difficult to experience?
My second volunteer location was very early morning leaving the house at 6:30 AM was tough.

4- Any tips for future volunteers… (clothing, travel, personal items, donations)

Bring the smallest denominations of money possible. Anything over U$10 is difficult to use.

5.1-Other things volunteers should know:
a. Ecuador is 99.9% Spanish only
b. Bring small denominations of US$ money
c. Have an open mind, plans change.

6- Personal Paragraph (ABV Program Testimonial):
My tie here was very rewarding. I would say it was the perfect mix of work, gaining experience and free time to see the country and have fun.

7- How would you describe your accommodation, meals, security (e: host family, on-site, shared)

The apartment was full with volunteers, but still spacious (everyone had there own room). The meals were very good, and it was a fully modern apartment.

8- How was the ABV USA support prior traveling?

It was minimal, but sufficient. Everything is done through the ABV online account, if you need to chat online, email or phone call all that information is on the website.

10 – Are you willing to speak to other potential ABV volunteers?
