For years, I have contemplated going to medical school. Then the doubts roll in: Can I do it? Is it too late for me? I'm scared! I'm comfortable doing what I'm doing, so why change because change is hard?! Then recently, I've felt like I am not doing enough. Going to work and then going home isn't as fulfilling as traveling or helping someone. Yes, I have been blessed that my choice in career has given me the opportunity to travel and help many young children, but I want to do more. At this time, my company is not treating patients through a clinical trial and I feel like I want to do more than just work in a lab or sit in my office. How can I help someone more than what I am currently doing?!
As if the Universe were listening, I came across A Broader View Volunteers. A program that allows people to volunteer in remote places with limited resources. My dad sends supplies back home to Sierra Leone every year and I donate what I can, but to be able to give my services; to allow my hands to help people, is one of the greatest gifts that I feel I can give.
If I am able to give aide to just one person in a medical capacity, I feel that I have contributed to this world. This program allows me the liberty to do just that. With your help, I will be able to take supplies with me such as: an oximeter, stethoscope, strip thermometer, gloves, masks, cleaning wipes , etc.
Monetary donations would be extremely appreciated!!!!
A Broader View is a 501(c)3 charitable organization. Therefore, US tax payers' program fees and related travel expenses are tax deductible for all donors.
Thank you so much for your charitable contribution!!!!!!
