How was the local ABV coordinator and the support provided in Country?
Wonderful he was super friendly and helpful

What was the most surprising thing you experienced?
San Jose was like entering another world it is crazy here! Also being able to see monkeys was pretty surprising

What was the most difficult to experience?
The work was hard! I do not usually work outside and never with ssaws  on bamboo.


Any tips for future volunteers?
Bug Spray! And bring old clothes you dont care about as everything will get very dirty.

Other things volunteers should know:

a.- Be prepared for a lot of down-time
b.- Be careful of the rip tides
c.- Expect rice and beans three times a day, bring snacks

I loved my time here in Costa Rica, Matapalo was absolutly beautiful and everyone was amazing. The work we did was needed and I fell like I made a difference.

How would you describe your accommodation, meals and security:

Our accommodations were good. I was always safe and never went hungry.

What was your favorite memory of the trip?

Meeting the other volunteers in Matapalo. I loved everyone.

How was the ABV USA support prior to travel?

Good didn't actually use them too much, but they gave me the information I needed. And the  process was very easy.
