Why did you choose Honduras and what program are you doing and for how long?
We wanted to be in Central America in a program with a Clinic and an orphanage. I was in the orphanage for 2 weeks

How was your Spanish Immersion program?
The Spanish Immersion was very good. We learned a lot, and even though it was very rigorous and sometimes stressful, I feel like I learned a lot.

Why did you choose A Broader View and how did you find us?
We found ABV online when looking for a program. ABV seemed to have the most positive reviews and the most options for placements.

How was your experience at the program?
My experience at the orphanage was great. I loved working with the kids and even though my Spanish wasn’t so good, we found ways to communicate and had a lot of fun.

How were your accommodation, host family and the meals?
The host family was wonderful. The house was very nice, all of the family members were friendly and helpful, and the food was always delicious.

How was the service of the local ABV coordinator and staff?
Very Helpful. I was very glad of the city tour and the coordinator was very accommodating.

Can you give tips for future volunteers?
The orphanage can use school supplies (pencils, erasers, crayons, playbooks and also toys like balls, dolls, cars, etc. They also need food, either rice and beans and other supplies for meals or snakcs.

Any tips on what tours to do on the weekends?
We went rafting and ziplining. Both were awesome and relatively inexpensive.

What did surprise you most about the program, city, the experience in general?
I was surprised at how friendly everyone was in the cty. Alost everyone I passed would smile and greet me. Another thing was the driving. It can get pretty crazy and there is a lot of honking.

How was the ABV service US office before traveling?
Everything went very smoothly when applying and the office was great at keeping us in the loop.

Would you recommend ABV to other volunteers?
I would definitely recommend ABV to other volunteers.
