  1. How was the local ABV Coordinator/staff and the support provided in-country?
    1. Great! Beatriz was always there if we needed her & was easy to contact.  She also told us everything we needed to know.
  2. What was the most surprising thing you experienced?
    1. Program: Lack of cleanliness in hospital.
    2. Host Family: How inviting & welcoming they were.
    3. Country: The small amount of people who spoke English.
  3. What was the most challenging thing you experienced?
    1. Program: Being proactive.
    2. Host Family: Communication.
    3. Country: Communication with locals.
  4. Any tips for future volunteers… (Clothing, travel, personal items, donations)
    1. Wells Fargo debit cards (even if it is Visa) do not work at ATMs or banks – bring cash or other Credit Cards.
    2. Bring more than the amount of recommended money for souvenirs.
    3. Bring germ-x b/c there is lots of public transportation.
  5. Other things volunteers should know before coming here:
    1. The city is beautiful and there are tons of places to visit.
    2. Everyone here is very “go-with-the-flow”
    3. The people in Cusco are overall very nice and genuine.

    1. I learned so much from this trip.  It really opened my eyes to the fact that not everyone has access to the same luxuries that I do in the U.S.  Working at the hospital and orphanage helped me realize this, and I will carry this knowledge and experience with me for the rest of my life.
  7. How would you describe your accommodation, meals, security, friendliness, quality, others.
    1. I felt very safe the entire trip.  The home cooked meals were amazing and our accommodations were wonderful: As I stated before, the people here are so friendly and genuine.
  8. What was your favorite memory of this trip?
    1. Program: Working with the disabled children in the orphanage.
    2. Host Family: Getting to know the children and parents.  They were incredibly amazing.
    3. Country: The beauty of Cusco was breathtaking.  The mountains were absolutely beautiful.
  9. How was the ABV USA support prior traveling?
    1. Using the online chat and emails were extremely helpful and all of my questions were answered in a timely manner.
  10. What do you think about the reservation system online?
    1. It was great.  Although there could be some improvements with grammar, misspellings, etc.

    1. Search engine (Gogle).
  12. Are you willing to speak to other potential ABV volunteers?
    1. Yes!
