volunteer medical / dental project

Medical / Nurse / Dental

Professional health (Doctors and Nurses) and Dental care provider's expertise is needed overseas. Health care volunteers have the most noticeable and largest impact abroad. Many developing communities lack access to quality healthcare, or their community health center lacks equipment and trained staff. ABV partnerships deliver education and training to the global health workforce. We know that well-trained, skilled and motivated health care providers are key to addressing global health challenges and achieving health for all.

We have created a global community that brings together a diverse group of health care workers, professional associations, overseas health institutions, organizational partners and dedicated individuals who work together to bring long-term solutions to the global health workforce crisis..

Our programs allow trained health care and dental care providers hands-on opportunities to provide urgent medical care. Our programs and volunteers provide the highest standard of care possible for these patients and may require working with limited equipment or may require the volunteer to provide their own equipment when traveling. Our short-term volunteer programs allow health providers to give back while being part of our on-going, year-round community support project work.

Some of the services you may provide include:

  • Giving vaccinations
    HIV testing
    Providing checkups
    Checking vitals
    Taking medical history
    Pain management and stress relief
    Extractions
    Simple mouth surgeries
    Tooth cleanings

Projects are based in community clinics, health outposts, regional hospitals, maternity clinics, and special needs care homes. A Broader View is committed to improving local communities’ availability of quality health and dental care through education and professional support of the health workforce.
